Taylor’s Theory of Scientific Management Essay

An analysis of Frederick Taylor’s theory of scientific management.

This paper discusses the different issues involved in Taylorism – Taylor’s theory of scientific management. The paper describes the major concepts of Taylorism, provides a critical review of this theory as opposed to other management theories and concludes with a synthesis of all the information.

With the coming of the Industrial age at the turn of the Century, and a new era, came the need for more efficient management techniques. Several Classical Theories evolved during the early years of this discipline. Fordism arose from a synthesis of the other earlier theories. Fayolism philosophy included close communication between bosses and workers.
